One ordinary day

“Therefore stay awake, for you do not know what hour your Lord will come.” (Matthew 24:42), which is one ordinary day.

One ordinary day

There was One ordinary day which I want to share with you. The 1950 earthquake is still remembered by the people of that day. How suddenly the northern part of Assam was devastated.

It is learned that our sister almost fell into a crack in the ground when her father grabbed her by the hand and pulled her up.

An ordinary day

Jesus Christ told his disciples about his coming when people were trading, eating, drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage, without knowing what was coming upon them.

One ordinary day

“But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matthew 24:37).

The Lord’s purpose was to urge His disciples to be watchful and ready: “Be ready, therefore; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not expect him” (v. 44).

What a wonderful wonderful joy it will be for us to welcome our Savior on this one ordinary day!

We sing

On the day when the Lord Jesus comes to reward us,

Will you find us faithfully awake and waiting for Him.

If he comes in the middle of the night, will he see us?

Blessed is he who finds watch, and will share in happiness.

Today’s thought

Could it be today? Are you ready?

PRAYER

O God the Father, help us to be alert and ready ourselves by remembering the Scriptural description of the day of Your coming. thank you. Amen.
