Love in actions

“By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one to another” (John 13:35); therefore, love in actions.

How did you feel about God’s love when he saved you? As you feel God’s love for you, you will feel love for others. Spreading that love is part of your Christian calling. But how can you cultivate love?

Often small acts best demonstrate God’s love. A friend may be in trouble and needs someone to listen to him. Or if you pick up an elderly person you know in the car to get something he needs or a sick friend who needs a meal – they will appreciate you. Your smile can certainly help a discouraged acquaintance.

How you work in your workplace so that your fellow workers can see God’s love. Are you trustworthy? Do you come to work on time? Are you truthful and patient? Do you try to be considerate of others? Even if these things seem unrelated, they help others to understand God in you.
